The Ultimate Fast Draw Timer Combination
At the left you can see our Fast Draw timer connected to two wax targets, each with a large display unit to time and display the hits on each target individually. This system is great for use in public demonstrations as it gives the audience and shooters instant feedback on how they are doing.
This combination utilizes one Fast Draw timer and light, a second light unit, a Y-connector cable to power both lights, two wax target pick-up units, and two multi-function remote display units.
With the mode selection switch on each display unit set to the "5" position, the display units will begin timing when they receive the start signal from the timer via radio signal (at the same instant that both lights are turned on), but will only turn off when the pick-up unit senses the impact of the bullet on the target. This means the single timer turns on both lights and starts both display units timing, then the hit on each target is displayed on that target's display unit.
If you would like to do this with a single target you can get the Fast Draw Speed-Timer 3000 and Multi-Function Remote Display combination, then add a Wax Target Pick-up Unit to connect the wax target to the display unit.

The above picture shows the display units after two shooters fired... one with a .280, and the other with a .517.
Note: When originally purchased, the Multi-Function Remote Display unit will have the mode selection switch set to the "7" position. This selection is the default setting for the display unit, and causes it to display the time recorded by the sound pick-up built into the timer, transmitted to the display unit via radio signal. As in the picture at right, in this mode the display unit is not connected to the target or timer at all, and the display unit indicates the last shot recorded by the timer (if multiple shooters fire, or a shooter is doing "doubles", only the last shot will show on the large display... however, you can scroll through all times via the timer which records and shows the time for up to 80 shots).
To use the display unit connected to a target via a wax target pick-up unit you will need to set the display unit to the "5" position.
